Job summary

TP Tutors at Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking motivated Education Tutors to provide tailored one-to-one tutoring for children and young people across Northampton and surrounding areas.

You will help learners needing extra academic support, missed learning catch-up, GCSE prep or alternative education. Roles include planning engaging lessons, monitoring progress, safeguarding and collaborating with families and schools.

Qualifications

• At least two years teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
• Ability to deliver well-planned, engaging lessons.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate or already held with Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised, one-to-one tuition based on individual goals and abilities.
• Help pupils strengthen understanding across subjects and GCSE preparation.
• Identify learning gaps and plan effective interventions.
• Develop engaging lessons, worksheets and activities; record progress and successes.
• Support pupils with SEND and wellbeing; maintain safeguarding standards.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers and other professionals.
