Job summary

TP Tutors in Corby and surrounding areas seeks passionate Education Tutors for 1:1 sessions across Primary to GCSE and SEND support. Sessions may occur at homes, schools or other provisions, with a focus on personalised learning and progress tracking.

Applicants should have UK tutoring/teaching experience, strong communication, and the ability to adapt lessons to individual learner needs. An Enhanced DBS is desirable and safeguarding remains a priority.

Qualifications

• At least two years of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Patient, adaptable approach to different learning abilities.
• Access to transport or ability to travel to placements throughout Corby and nearby locations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons that reflect each pupil's abilities and learning objectives.
• Help students develop knowledge and improve performance in relevant subjects.
• Encourage positive learning behaviours, independence and self-confidence.
• Prepare teaching resources, exercises and lesson activities.
• Monitor progress and maintain records of learning outcomes.
• Recognise learning barriers and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Provide educational assistance to pupils with SEND and behavioural needs.
• Build relationships with parents, schools and external professionals.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and pupil wellbeing.
