Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking passionate 1:1 Tutors to support students from KS1 through KS4 across core and wider national curriculum subjects in St Helens.

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will deliver tailored sessions to help learners fill knowledge gaps, build confidence and reach their full potential. A SEN background and the right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
• UK classroom teaching experience
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions across KS1–KS4.
• Support learners to fill knowledge gaps and build confidence.
• Plan engaging lessons and adapt for SEN needs.

Position details:

• Location - St Helens
• Position - 1:1 Tutor
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration - dependent on each student
• End date - Ongoing
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability
• Minimum rate of pay - from 25 per hour
• Hours - Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• QTS or equivalent
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
• UK classroom teaching experience
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references.
