Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a 1:1 Tutor to support students in Maths and English in Derby. Sessions are conducted 1:1 in student homes, libraries or schools, with flexible hours to fit around other commitments. Teaching qualifications and experience in 1:1 or classroom settings are valued.

Enhance student progression with tailored lesson plans and ongoing progress updates. Opportunities available for part-time or full-time temporary roles, with competitive pay and CPD options.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification or classroom/1:1 experience.
• Ability to plan and deliver Maths and English lessons aligned to the national curriculum.
• Experience working with students with EHCPs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 maths and English tutoring to students.
• Plan and tailor sessions to meet individual needs and barriers to learning.
• Adapt materials and sessions for diverse age groups; work in student homes, libraries or schools.

Requirements

The successful 1:1 Tutor will have:

• Teaching qualification/experience (classroom or 1:1)
• Ability to plan and deliver Maths and English lessons following national curriculum
• Experience of working with students with EHCPs
• Enhanced DBS (willing to apply)
• Passionate about working with young people
