Shipley CE Primary School in Horsham, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our Reception/Year 1 class. The role focuses on supporting an individual pupil through targeted interventions and assisting in class under the teacher’s direction.

Lunchtime support in the dining hall, with occasional playground duties, is included. We value a positive, collaborative approach and experience with children with additional needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and a positive, supportive approach.
• Experience supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
• Strong teamwork and ability to work under guidance of teachers.

Responsabilités

• Support an individual pupil through targeted interventions and in-class support.
• Assist the class teacher with general classroom activities.
• Provide lunchtime support in the dining hall and, on occasions, in the playground.
• Contribute to a safe, caring environment aligned with school policies.
