Job summary

East Worlington Primary School in Devon is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support the development of a pupil in Reception with additional needs. The successful candidate will be a patient team player and strong communicator, with experience of working with pupils with different abilities.

There is an additional Mealtime Assistant role supervising during lunch; hours for the TA are 9.00am–12.30pm and 1.30pm–2.00pm, with Mealtime Assistant 12.30pm–1.00pm.

Qualifications

• A good standard of English and Mathematics.
• Patience and positivity in supporting pupils.
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of a pupil in Reception Class with additional needs.
• Work with colleagues to provide excellent provision for all pupils.
• Supervise and support during lunch breaks as Mealtime Assistant.
• Use positive behaviour management strategies and promote inclusion.
