Job summary

Peakirk-cum-Glinton CE Primary School is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs. The role involves assisting learning, communication and social development within our inclusive classroom.

We value a caring Christian ethos and a collaborative team. The successful candidate will work 25 hours per week, term-time with fixed-term until 31 August 2027, supporting children to flourish in a nurturing environment.

25 hours per week over 5 days a week

10am - 3pm, including 1:1 support at lunchtimes

38 weeks per year

Fixed-term position until 31/08/2027, to support a child with individual needs

Grade D3-4 £25614 FTE, £14,519.71 actual per annum

Your responsibilities will include:

We are looking for someone who is:

• Has experience supporting children with SEND,

• Can work effectively as part of a team and independently

• Has good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
• Has experience of early years and the early years curriculum
• A person who understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school's Code of Conduct;
• An energetic individual who smiles often, engages with the children and models the values and ethos of our school at all times.

Peakirk is a proud member of PDET, alongside 36 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area.
