Job summary

Kingfisher Primary Academy in Doncaster is seeking a compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional and complex needs, enabling access to learning in an inclusive setting. The role is 30 hours per week on a permanent basis within Astrea Academy Trust.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to tailor learning, promote independence and support pupil wellbeing, while safeguarding at all times. Interviews on 12 October 2026; closing date 7 October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils, ensuring they can access learning and fully participate in school life
• Support the delivery of a therapeutic, broad and balanced curriculum adapted to meet individual needs
• Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to adapt learning in line with SEND requirements
• Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
• Support pupils’ health, welfare and personal care needs where required
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues to support consistent progress
