Job summary

East Worlington Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our support team in Greater London. You will assist a pupil in Reception with additional needs and help maintain an inclusive classroom environment.

The post is temporary and includes additional duties as a Mealtime Assistant during lunch breaks, with a Monday–Friday pattern and a September start. We value teamwork, patience and clear communication.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint anenthusiastic, committed, patient and motivated Teaching Assistant to join oursupport team at East Worlington Primary School.

The successful candidate will supportthe development of a pupil in the Reception Class with additional needs. You will be tenacious and committed tosupporting the needs and development of the individual pupil whilst being anexcellent team player and communicator. Previousexperience of working with pupils with different abilities and knowledge ofattachment based mentoring and relational practice would be an advantage.

The post is temporary and will besubject to the continued attendance of the pupil and/or the result of anyspecial needs or funding review.

We are pleased to be able to offerthe successful candidate an additional role as a Mealtime Assistant. The postinvolves supervising and providing support for the pupil during the lunchbreak.

The working pattern within theroles will be:

TeachingAssistant Monday to Friday 9.00am – 12.30pm and 1.30pm -3.30pm

MealtimeAssistant Monday to Friday 12.30pm – 1.00pm

The working patternallows for a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Ideally the successful candidatewill be available to start in September, but we are committed to recruiting thebest candidate for the role and have some flexibility.
