Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Liverpool. The role starts immediately and is on a temporary basis, supporting a student with individual learning needs and assisting the teaching staff to promote engagement and academic progress.

The successful candidate will have experience with 1:1 support, KS3/KS4 knowledge, and strong communication and classroom management skills, along with a patient and adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience providing 1:1 support or general classroom learning support.
• Good knowledge of supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 is desirable.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting young people.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Liverpool, who are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant. The school is committed to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their academic abilities, confidence and independence.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a short-term basis, starting immediately. The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will provide individual learning support to a secondary school student, working alongside teaching staff to assist with classroom activities, encourage engagement in lessons and support academic progress.

The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting

Experience providing 1:1 support or general classroom learning support

Good knowledge of supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 is desirable

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting young people
