Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a Year 5 pupil with an Education Health Care Plan. The role is 32.5 hours per week during term time (39 weeks per year), 8.30am–3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

It involves occasional support for other pupils and collaboration with a friendly team. The successful candidate will show initiative, be self-motivated and able to work independently, with safeguarding checks and Level 1/2 TA requirements as per Lincolnshire

Qualifications

• Ability to work one-to-one with pupils and adapt support as needed.
• Experience supporting pupils with Education Health Care Plans or similar.
• Demonstrates initiative, motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Wamiliar with Level 1 or 2 Teaching Assistant roles per Lincolnshire County Council descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a Year 5 pupil with an Education Health Care Plan.
• Assist with other pupils at times and support general classroom activities.
• Implement strategies to support behaviour and learning in line with school policies.
• Participate in safeguarding and DBS processes as required.

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Headteacher and Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with children.

This is a temporary role connected with a pupil in Year 5 with an Education Health Care Plan working 32.5 hours a week. Hours will be from 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. The contract will be for term time only ie 39 weeks per year. The role will also involve working with other children at times, not always specifically the 1:1 child.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard working person who can demonstrate the ability to:

• Work creatively and independently;
• Work as part of our successful and friendly team;
• Show initiative and be self-motivated;
• Work independently with individuals and support the needs of pupils’ Education and Health Care Plans supporting behaviour and learning;
• Able to meet the requirements of the Level 1 or 2 Teaching Assistant Lincolnshire County Council Job Description.
