• Up to date Safeguarding training (within last year preferred).
• Experience supporting SEN in a school setting.
• Team Teach Training is desirable.

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join a lovely school in Blackpool. You will be supporting pupils 1-1.

The Role:

• Communicating regularly with the SENCO and external agencies regarding progress and any necessary updates to EHCPs
• Positively and effectively managing behaviour with de-escalation techniques
• Building rapport with the pupil to establish a positive, professional relationship
• Location: Blackpool
• Position: 1-1 TA
• Type of Work: Temporary
• Full time/Part time: Full time only
• Hours: 8:15am-3:15pm
• Minimum Rate of Pay: £110 per day, depending on experience
• End date: Ongoing

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

• Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
• Previous experience supporting SEN within a school setting
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable
• Team Teach Training is highly desirable

ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
