Are you a recent Psychology graduate with a strong interest in education, behaviour, or mental health? Are you considering a future career in educational psychology, teaching, or pastoral support?
An inclusive and supportive secondary school in Greater Manchester is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting students with additional needs, social-emotional challenges, or EHCPs.
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs or special educational needs
Help students access the curriculum and develop key learning and social skills
Assist teachers and pastoral staff in creating a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
Support with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Contribute to student wellbeing, resilience, and engagement with learning
A recent Psychology graduate (2:2 or above)
Passionate about supporting young people and promoting mental wellbeing
Calm, empathetic, and confident in a school setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with children or young people (e.g. mentoring, youth work, volunteering) is desirable but not essential
Daily rate of £89-£100
Ongoing training and professional development
Experience relevant to future roles in psychology, education, or counselling
