Monarch Education are currently working in partnership with a large primary school in the M13 area of North Manchester.

Monarch Education are currently working in partnership with a large primary school in the M13 area of North Manchester.

The school is looking to work with Graduates with a Sports background (either through coaching or sports related degree), to utilise their strong sports skills to help minimise disruption and bring pupils back on track. The right candidates would be working in the classroom, supporting pupils who display low-level behavioural difficulties or who have become distracted from their learning. You would be working alongside these pupils as a strong role model, working to understand the pupil's background and needs to help bring them back on track and minimise disruption in the classroom. These pupils are often performing just slightly below national expected standards, and require focused attention and additional support to bridge this attainment gap in the core subjects (Reading, Spelling & Grammar, Maths, Phonics).

This is wonderful opportunity for graduates of this calibre to embark on their career in Education. You would be classroom based, but there would also be opportunity to further utilise your Sports skills to lead after-school clubs / sports sessions. These are ideal roles for candidates who are looking to start a PGCE or wish to continue gaining experience in this sector. It is essential that you will have some experience surrounding children; this could be in a voluntary placement at a school or previous paid employment.

These roles would be longer term positions, running through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for permanent or fixed term contracts for candidates who really impress!
