Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in Liverpool. You will provide one-to-one learning support to a student, work with teaching staff to assist classroom activities and help the student engage in lessons to boost academic progress.

The role is short-term with an immediate start. The successful candidate will have prior experience supporting children in educational settings and possess strong communication and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience providing 1:1 support or general classroom learning support.
• Good knowledge of supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 is desirable.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual learning support to a secondary school student on a 1:1 basis.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a short-term basis, starting immediately. The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will provide individual learning support to a secondary school student, working alongside teaching staff to assist with classroom activities, encourage engagement in lessons and support academic progress.

The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
• Experience providing 1:1 support or general classroom learning support
• Good knowledge of supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 is desirable
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting young people
