Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in High Wycombe with pupils aged 7–19 in a specialist complex-needs setting. Qualifications

• Experience in SEN education or specialist support settings.
• Experience with complex communication needs or SCERTS frameworks is a plus.
• Ability to support pupils aged 7–19 in a complex education setting.
• Comfort with personalised learning programmes and safeguarding expectations.

Responsibilities

Provide consistent individual support to pupils with complex communication, cognitive, sensory and physical needs.

1:1 Teaching Assistant role in High Wycombe supporting pupils aged 7-19 within a specialist complex-needs education setting.

SEN, autism, PMLD or communication experience desirable.

A specialist education provision in High Wycombe is looking for a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support to pupils with complex cognitive, sensory and communication needs.

The role would suit someone with experience in SEN education, specialist support, care or a related environment.

The Opportunity

This is a highly individualised setting where pupils' needs determine the way they learn and communicate.

You may be supporting pupils who require assistance with:

The setting does not use ABA. Its approach focuses on understanding and supporting individual pupils rather than attempting to make them conform to typical behavioural expectations.
