Job summary

Teaching Personnel in NP7 is looking for a confident and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil in a welcoming primary school. You will work closely with the pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them stay settled, focused and ready to learn.

The role involves providing calm, consistent and positive support, building a strong relationship and working with the class teacher to ensure the pupil remains engaged and progresses throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEN or ALN and behaviour management is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Are you patient, resilient and passionate about making a genuine difference to a child’s school experience?

We’re looking for a confident and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the NP7 area, supporting a pupil in Key Stage 2 who needs some extra help with their behaviour, focus and engagement in school.

You’ll work closely with the pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them feel settled, supported and ready to learn.

The pupil can sometimes find it difficult to stay focused and engaged in school and may display some challenging behaviours. Your role will be to provide the calm, consistent and positive support they need to manage these moments and have a successful school day.

You’ll be there to celebrate the wins, whether that’s completing a piece of work, managing a difficult moment or simply having a positive day in school.
