Job description

Make a Big Difference in Small Steps – Become a 1:1 Teaching Assistant!

Do you believe that every child deserves to shine? Are you ready to be the supportive, inspiring presence that helps a young learner thrive? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our warm and welcoming primary school community!

We’re currently looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a wonderful pupil who needs a little extra help to succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing one-to-one support to a pupil during lessons, breaktimes, and transitions throughout the school day.

Helping to create a calm, encouraging and safe learning environment where your pupil can flourish.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt learning tasks and ensure the pupil’s individual needs are met.

Using your creativity and emotional intelligence to turn everyday moments into joyful learning experiences.

Celebrating every achievement — big or small — because you’ll be part of their journey.

Who You Are:

You have a genuine love for working with children, especially those who need a bit of extra support to unlock their potential.

You’re patient, resilient and full of positive energy — ready to guide, support and champion your pupil every step of the way.

You’re a great communicator who works well with teachers, parents and other staff.

Experience in a primary school or supporting SEND is helpful, but what really matters is your attitude, empathy and commitment.

(Bonus points if you’ve worked with children with autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs!)

What We Offer:

A warm, friendly and inclusive school environment with a fantastic team spirit.

Opportunities for training and development to help you grow in your role.

A leadership team that listens, supports and values your input.

The deep reward of knowing you’re changing a child’s life, one day at a time.

Ready to join us?

If you're ready to build a connection that could last a lifetime and help a child succeed on their unique path, we’d love to hear from you!
