Job summary

TimePlan Education is recruiting a Part-Time Teaching Assistant for a Year R pupil in the New Forest, near Southampton. The role is afternoons only, with potential to move to full days after settling in.

You will provide 1:1 support to a pupil with learning disabilities and Autism, assisting engagement and focus in lessons. Previous TA experience and two child-based references are preferred; start date October 2026 for a long-term temporary position.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a pupil 1:1 in a classroom setting.
• Ability to work with pupils who have learning disabilities and autism.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support in class to a Year R pupil.
• Help the pupil engage in lessons and stay focused.
• Work Monday to Friday, afternoons initially, with potential to move to full days.
