Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is hiring a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide focused 1:1 support for a Year 9 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder at a Hackney secondary school in East London. The role demands confidence in behaviour management and in fostering a calm, structured learning environment.

The successful candidate will help the pupil stay engaged, build confidence and social skills, and collaborate with staff to monitor progress throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a Year 9 pupil or similar age group.
• Ability to promote positive attitudes and social skills.
• Capable of providing calm, structured support to a student with ASD.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 9 pupil with ASD.
• Support pupil to stay engaged, manage anxiety and build independence throughout the day.
• Collaborate with school staff to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
