Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting for a Specialist Learning Support Assistant in North Bristol to provide dedicated 1:1 support within a resource base. The role focuses on helping a pupil with complex SEND needs access learning, regulate emotions and feel confident in the classroom.

The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable and passionate about SEND, working with teachers and the wider SEND team to build trust and positive relationships throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to apply.
• References covering the last 24 months.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Overseas police checks for long stays within past 5 years allowed.
• Sponsorship not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support within a resource base.
• Support a pupil with complex SEND throughout the day.
• Assist with emotional regulation, engagement, communication and learning.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive learning experiences.
