Job summary

AP Education is seeking dedicated SEND Tutors in Norfolk to deliver 1:1 support for learners with complex needs. You will work face-to-face with students from Early Years to KS4, delivering Maths, English, or Science, and provide personalised learning to meet individual needs.

QTS or HLTA are preferred, but UK experience without qualifications is welcome. Enjoy guaranteed weekly pay and a flexible, supportive placement with a dedicated Education Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring children with SEND/SEMH.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Baseline assessments and progress reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face 1:1 support with students from Early Years to KS4.
• Deliver core subjects or SEND-specific content.
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies.
• Provide a therapeutic and adaptable approach to education.
• Perform baseline academic and emotional assessments to inform targeted support.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and liaise with external professionals.
• Manage daily attendance reporting via attendance software.
• Assist learners in transitioning to mainstream or specialist settings.
