Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs at a mainstream primary school in Hayes, starting January 2027. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with PAYE pay at £100 per day.

You will work closely with the class teacher, supporting learning, communication and social development while promoting inclusion and independence in daily classroom routines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEND pupils in school or similar setting.
• Patient, calm, adaptable with a positive approach.
• Ability to work under the guidance of teachers and SEND team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's needs.
• Help pupil access lessons and participate in activities.
• Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Encourage independence and inclusion in routine.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school support plans.
