Protocol Education are working with SEND schools across Durham who are looking for confident and resilient 1:1 Support Assistants to work with pupils who have complex needs and challenging behaviour.
You’ll be supporting a child who may experience significant emotional dysregulation and behaviours including biting, kicking, throwing objects and physical outbursts.
That can be challenging - but with the right approach, consistency and support, you can help a child develop trust, confidence and strategies to manage their emotions.

You won’t be expected to manage everything alone. The school has experienced staff, established strategies and support available to help you succeed in the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
