Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a Year 1 Teaching Assistant to provide 1-to-1 support for a pupil in a mainstream primary school in Erdington, Birmingham. The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30, during term time.

You will work with the class teacher and the SENCo to implement planned interventions, support the pupil’s learning, and promote inclusion across the classroom. A DBS enhanced check (or update service) and UK right to work are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND in educational or care settings.
• Eligible to work in the UK with right to work.
• DBS update service or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 support for a Year 1 pupil in a mainstream setting.
• Support learning interventions and promote classroom inclusion.
• Work with class teacher and SENCo on planned interventions.
