Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to work in the SK8 area of Stockport during weekday school hours. The role focuses on delivering personalised tuition to learners with SEN, helping them build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve academic goals.

You will support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other needs, adapting lessons to individual requirements, maintaining progress records, and collaborating with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
• Experience with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH) and EHCPs is desirable.
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and ability to adapt lessons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support students in core subjects as required (English, Maths, Science).
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet various SEN needs.
• Plan and deliver personalised lessons to promote engagement and progress.
• Monitor student progress and maintain records.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and relevant professionals.
