Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated SEN Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one tuition to primary and secondary SEN learners across Redruth and surrounding areas.

You will work with students who have autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND needs, helping them overcome barriers and make progress toward their goals through flexible, one-to-one sessions in schools, community settings or learners' homes. This role offers flexible hours and meaningful, locally impactful work with ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN/SEND children or young people
• Experience in mainstream and/or specialist SEN settings
• Ability to travel across Redruth and surrounding areas
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition to SEN learners
• Adapt lessons and teaching strategies around individual needs
• Support primary and/or secondary students with their education
• Help learners develop academic skills, confidence and independence
• Monitor and record progress against individual learning goals
• Build positive relationships with students, families, schools and professionals
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
