Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a secondary-aged pupil at a specialist school in Ormskirk. This role offers morning-only hours and requires the ability to build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil while supporting learning and school routines.

You will work closely with teaching staff and the wider SEN team, adapting your approach to meet individual needs, while upholding safeguarding and professional

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
• Ability to work 1:1 with a secondary pupil.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Support one secondary pupil on a 1:1 basis.
• Provide tailored support during morning sessions.
• Help pupil engage with learning and routines.
• Support emotional regulation, confidence and behaviour.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SEN team.
• Adapt approach to meet pupil needs.
