Job summary

Shaw CE Primary School is seeking a fixed-term Teaching Assistant to support a designated child with SEN/SEMH needs. The role is 17.5 hours per week, term-time only, across 39 weeks, working with the class teacher and the SENCO to plan and deliver tailored activities.

Experience as a TA and in planning interventions is desirable; a DBS check is required before appointment and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant
• Experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH
• Experience planning and delivering interventions

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one with an assigned child to meet their individual needs
• Work with the class teacher and/or SENCO to plan the child's support
• Plan and deliver activities and interventions to support the child's learning and progress
