Role: 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Derby, DE1
Contract: Full time, Long-term
Pay: 100- 110 per day
Start Date: September 2025

Role Overview
You'll report to the SENCo and support learners with SEND on a 1 1 basis, playing a pivotal role in enabling full access to the curriculum.


Your responsibilities will include:
Offer tailored in-class and small-group assistance, building learners' confidence, independence, and engagement.
Collaborate with the SENCo and Lead LSA to create and monitor individual learning and examination support plans.
Implement agreed accommodations and assist with a variety of assessments.
Employ technology to boost communication, independence, and learning outcomes.
Liaise effectively with students, parents, tutors, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.


Who We're Looking For
Proven experience supporting young people (11-19) with complex SEND.
Strong interpersonal skills with empathy, adaptability, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
Excellent ICT literacy and confidence using assistive technology.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant diploma or equivalent).
