Job summary

Academics Ltd is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for Malvern to start in November 2026 on a temporary long-term basis. You will provide 1:1 support to pupils with complex needs, working closely with teachers and senior leaders to enable learning and development throughout the school day.

The role requires patience, resilience and a proactive approach to managing challenging behaviour, with safeguarding at the forefront. DBS check and right to work checks will apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN or in challenging educational environments.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour management.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 SEN support for pupils with significant behavioural, emotional and social needs.
• Build a trusting relationship with the pupil and be a consistent presence in the school day.
• Implement behaviour support strategies in line with school policies and support plans.
• Collaborate with class teachers to adapt activities and support engagement in lessons.
• Support emotional regulation, social communication and positive peer interactions.
• Promote inclusion and pupil participation in all school activities.
