Job summary

Lowerhouses CE Primary School in Huddersfield is advertising a fixed term Educational Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 1. The post is 17.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:30am–3:15pm, until 31 August 2027.

The role focuses on helping the child reach their full potential with a firm but fair approach and strong communication with staff and parents. Applicants should have good teamwork and safeguarding awareness; experience of working with children with SEND is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable.
• Experience of working in a school environment is helpful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support a child in Key Stage 1 with learning activities.
• Work Monday to Friday 11:30am–3:15pm and collaborate with staff and parents.
