Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN/SEMH needs.
• Experience in a school/educational/youth work or care setting.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement.
• Support the pupil's academic, social and emotional development.
• Implement strategies to manage behaviour and promote positive outcomes.
• Work with teachers and SENCOs to support individual learning plans.
• Adapt activities to meet learner needs.
• Encourage independence and participation in class.
