Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a patient and resilient graduate to serve as a 1:1 SEN Learning Mentor in a good primary school in Wolverhampton. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a non-verbal pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning and follow routines under the guidance of the SEN team.

You should be calm under pressure, trustworthy and able to build rapport through empathy and consistent interaction.

Qualifications

• 2:2 degree in Psychology or related subject.
• Genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEN and communication needs.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, nurturing approach.
• Ability to build trust and provide consistent 1:1 support.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

1:1 SEN Learning Mentor

£85 - £100 per day, Immediate start until July 2027, Good primary school based in Wolverhampton, 1:1 support for a non-verbal SEN pupil with additional needs.

As a 1:1 SEN Learning Mentor, you will provide dedicated support to a non-verbal pupil with additional needs. You will help the pupil access learning, follow daily routines and feel safe and supported throughout the school day. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide structure, reassurance and consistent encouragement.

Requirements
