Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil in a mainstream primary school in Hillingdon, Uxbridge. You will work 1:1 throughout the day, supporting SEMH and mental health needs within a warm, inclusive school environment.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed approaches, consistent routines and strong collaboration with the class teacher, SENCO and the school team. DBS and safeguarding are essential, with ASAP start preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour management.
• Experience supporting children with emotional/mental health needs.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils who may need support with adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with SEMH and mental health needs.
• Help the pupil feel safe, secure and understood within the school environment.
• Develop trust and maintain clear professional boundaries with the pupil.
• Support emotional regulation and strategies to manage difficult emotions.
