Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment are supporting a mainstream primary school in Newton Abbot, which is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with SEMH needs, requiring emotional regulation support and help accessing the curriculum. Start date is as soon as possible with supply duties and potential permanent placement.

The role offers hours from 8.45 to 3.15 and pay in the range of £14.20–£15.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or adults with SEMH.
• Able to support emotional regulation and curriculum access.
• Well-regarded primary school with strong community links.

Responsibilities

• Support a KS2 pupil with SEMH to access the curriculum and make progress.
• Build positive relationship with student and support emotional regulation.
• Work with experienced staff to guide you.
