Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with SEMH in the Fordingbridge area. The role can be part-time or full-time, with typical school hours around 6.5 hours per day, and pay at £14.25 per hour.

You will work as part of the classroom team, providing 1:1 support, helping the pupil engage with learning and routines, and supporting their social and emotional development under the guidance of the SENCO.

Qualifications

• DBS check and safeguarding training may be required.
• Right to Work in the UK checks.
• Experience with SEMH or additional needs is beneficial.
• Patience, reliability and a supportive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH.
• Assist the pupil with learning activities and classroom routines.
• Support their social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO.
• Help create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
