Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the FY8 area is seeking a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis.

You will work mainly in the classroom with potential to deliver targeted interventions, and you will receive support from the class teacher, SENCO and wider leadership team. The ideal candidate will have SEMH/SEN experience, be patient and nurturing, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Previous SEMH/SEN experience.
• Patient and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs.
• Assist in classroom-based activities and targeted interventions when needed.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and leadership team to support learning and behaviour.
