Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a KS2 class in the Tidworth area. The role offers either part-time or full-time hours, with typical school days around 6.5 hours.

You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs and work closely with the teacher and SENCO to support learning, development and inclusion. Experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs.
• Willing to complete safeguarding checks and comply with school policies.
• Excellent communication, patience and a calm approach to challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
• Help the pupil engage with learning and classroom routines.
• Support social and emotional development and build a trusting relationship with the pupil.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO for guidance and consistency.
• Contribute to creating a calm, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the wider teaching team to support inclusive practices.
