Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Batley Primary school from September 2026 on a long-term basis. The role is five days a week, 8:30am–3:30pm, supporting a Year 1 pupil with an EHCP for SEMH in an inclusive classroom.

You will assist with targeted interventions, provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs, and build positive relationships with the pupil while collaborating with the teaching team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with EHCPs.
• Calm, patient and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for education and child development.
• Two school-based references.

About the role:

Justteachers are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant team at a Batley Primary school to start in September 2026 on a long-term basis. This role is five days per week working 8.30am – 3.30pm.

The successful candidate will be working at an one form entry school that is inclusive and welcoming to all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a year 1 pupil with an EHCP for SEMH
