Job summary

Class Mate Education Limited is recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a lively Year 2 pupil at a primary school in DE21. The role suits a resilient, energetic practitioner who can build a positive relationship with the pupil and help them stay focused on the Year 2 curriculum.

You will provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the day, use positive strategies to aid behaviour and engagement, and work closely with the class teacher and school team to ensure smooth transitions and access

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a primary school
• Experience with behaviour support is desirable
• Resilient, energetic and patient
• Confident setting clear and consistent boundaries
• Able to stay calm and positive in a busy environment
• Willing to get involved and build a strong relationship with the pupil
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

This role would suit a resilient, energetic practitioner who is confident supporting behaviour and can build a positive relationship with a pupil who needs consistent encouragement to stay focused and engaged.
