Job summary

Brighton College Prep Hove is seeking an Individual Needs Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis to support a neurodiverse pupil with PDA and allergies, under the Head of Learning Support.

You will work closely with teachers to use flexible approaches to learning, support emotional regulation, promote social relationships, and monitor progress with regular feedback to the Head of Learning Support.

Hours are 36.15 per week, 8.00am - 4.00pm, term-time only. Salary £19,324 per annum.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly organised with strong time management.
• Emotionally intelligent, empathetic and attuned.
• Experience with neurodiverse pupils and PDA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated, child-centred support for a neurodiverse pupil.
• Support learning, engagement and emotional regulation.
• Promote positive social relationships and participation in school life.
• Follow allergy safety procedures.
• Monitor pupil progress and report to Head of Learning Support.
