Job summary

Mytchett Primary & Nursery Academy in Camberley is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a child in Year 1 with an EHCP, during term time.

The role is part-time (22.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-1pm) on a temporary contract, with a pro rata salary of £12,713 to £13,862 per annum.

We are looking to recruit a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work alongside the teachers and other support staff in our Academy.

Key Roles and responsibilities:

• Support a child in Year 1 with an EHCP


• Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment


• Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all children in learning and extracurricular activities


• Show professionalism by having proper regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the academy


• Consistently demonstrate the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils


• Work collaboratively with teachers and other colleagues

• Have some experience in supporting children who have additional needs
