Job summary

Alleyn’s Hampstead Nursery & Junior School, part of Cognita’s partnership, seeks a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant on a fixed-term contract. The role is 30 hours per week, 8:30am to 3:00pm, supporting a pupil with additional needs in a nurturing educational setting.

You will work with the SENCo, teachers and families to plan personalised interventions, promote learning, inclusion and wellbeing, monitor progress and contribute to planning and assessments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting supporting children with additional needs.
• Good understanding of child development, inclusive practice and safeguarding.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
• Plan and deliver personalised interventions and adapt learning activities.
• Monitor progress, contribute to assessments and planning, and maintain a safe environment.
