Job summary

Engage Education is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Barnet team, supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum within an SEND-focused environment.

You’ll work closely with teachers, support differentiated learning activities, and help create an inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive and progress with structured support and positive behaviour strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school or educational setting.
• Patience, adaptability and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.

SEND 1.1 Teaching Assistant –Barnet, Edgware

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum
• Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions
• Helping create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs as part of a structured SEND programme

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school or educational setting
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
• Level 2 or 3 TA qualification preferred
