Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd is seeking a Learning Mentor in Lewisham for an ASAP start at a large primary school. You will work 1:1 with a child, helping them engage with learning and build confidence and independence throughout the day.

The role values experience with SEND/SEMH, and applicants with a background as a Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or SEN support are encouraged to apply. The position requires dedication to consistent, nurturing support within the school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND, SEMH, additional learning needs or challenging behaviour would be highly advantageous.
• Candidates with experience as a Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar pastoral or educational support role are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to the child throughout the school day.
• Build a strong, trusting relationship to understand individual needs and promote access to learning.
• Support the child with emotional development, concentration, confidence and independence in class.
• Encourage participation in classroom activities and support positive learning behaviours.
