Job summary

Forsbrook CofE Controlled Primary School is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 6. The role is fixed-term from 05.10.2026 to 31.08.2027, 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Must have GCSEs in Maths and English and experience with additional needs.

A caring, patient approach and strong teamwork are essential. The successful candidate will work within the Year 6 team, supporting curriculum delivery and liaising with parents and external agencies.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English required for TA positions.
• Experience in supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 6.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering the curriculum.
• Monitor and support social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers and external support agencies.
