Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a specialist SEN setting in Warrington. The role requires warmth, patience and reliability to build trust and deliver consistent support throughout the day.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with challenging behaviour, follow agreed strategies and work both independently and with others to support learning through classroom, outdoor and sensory activities.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient and nurturing approach with strong boundaries.
• Experience in SEN, care or support settings preferred.
• Comfortable working 1:1 and with a team in a specialist SEN environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil within a specialist SEN setting.
• Assist across classroom, outdoor learning and sensory activities.
• Follow agreed behaviour-support strategies and stay calm during challenging situations.
• Support trained colleagues with any required physical intervention.
• Build trust and consistency to support pupil development throughout the day.
