Leigh Academy Peninsula East is seeking a Teaching Assistant (1:1) to support a child in EYFS with communication needs and to provide targeted phonics support within the EYFS setting.

The role requires experience supporting SEND pupils, strong English and Maths skills, and close collaboration with teachers, the SEN team and external professionals. It is a fixed-term post until July 2027, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.

Formación

• Experience supporting children with SEND or complex needs.
• Strong spoken and written English with good maths understanding.
• Able to provide 1:1 targeted support and adapt to pupil needs.

Responsabilidades

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to the identified child throughout the day.
• Collaborate with class teachers, SEN team and external professionals.
• Support access to learning and promote independence and wellbeing.
• Assist with personal care if required and maintain a safe learning environment.
