Job summary

Milk Education is currently seeking dedicated 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistants to work across a range of supportive Secondary and SEN Schools on long-term placements. You will provide one-to-one support, build trusted relationships, and help pupils manage behaviours to engage with learning.

This role suits those passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and wishing to gain valuable experience in education, youth work, or social care, with ongoing guidance and development

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people in school, youth work, mentoring, care, coaching, or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
• Genuine passion for supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs.
• Build positive relationships to encourage confidence, resilience and engagement in learning.
• Support pupils to regulate emotions and develop positive behaviour strategies in class and beyond.
